12/6（星期五）：化解怨恨
經文：「亞哈見了以利亞，便說：使以色列遭災的就是你嗎？以利亞說：使以色列遭災的不是我，乃是你和你父家；因為你們離棄耶和華的誡命，去隨從巴力。」（王上18:17-18）

說明：
亞哈娶了耶洗別，引入巴力崇拜，使以色列陷在罪中。神的懲罰是經由以利亞叫天不降雨，令以色列經歷了三年多的旱災。當亞哈見了以利亞，便將旱災的責任歸咎於他，絲毫不覺得是自己的錯，這是以果為因的顛倒邏輯。

禱告重點：
1. 官民雙方都有做對和做錯的地方，要化解怨恨，就要各自承擔責任。請為各方有承擔責任的勇氣代禱，以致不諉過於人，不會以果為因。
2. 「亞哈見了以利亞」，神的僕人有機會跟統治者見面對話。請為神的僕人有機會跟政府首長見面，進行有益的對話代禱。願此等會面帶出和睦，化解怨恨，不會忠言逆耳。

12/6(Fri): Dispel grudge
Scripture: “And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.” (1 Kings 18:17-18)

Explanation:
Ahab married Jezebel and introduced the worship of Baal, causing Israel to sin. God’s punishment was to make the sky rainless through Elijah’s prayer, which caused Israel to experience drought for more than three years. When Ahab met Elijah, he blamed him for the drought. He didn’t feel it was without the slightest thought that it was his own fault at all. This is the inverse logic of taking the results as the causes.

Prayer Note:
1. Both the government and the public have their own right and wrong places. To dispel grudges, they must bear their own responsibilities. Pray for the courage of all parties to take responsibility, so as not to blame others, and not to take the results as the causes.
2. “Ahah saw Elijah.” God’s servants had the opportunity to meet and talk with the ruler. Please pray for God’s servants to have a chance to meet with the head of government for a helpful dialogue. May these meetings bring peace and resolve grudges, and no one will resend sincere admonishment.
